The Viking (MCA four one zero)
Located in central Manzanita, The Viking gives you easy access to the beach, town, golf course and city park, so it’s a terrific launching pad for your coastal adventures. You’ll love the spacious upper-story great room of this classic Oregon cottage, which brings you beautiful ocean views through a wall of western windows. The views and ocean light continue in the dining area and fully equipped kitchen. You’ll enjoy the wood stove and a large flat-screen HDTV/DVD in the evenings.
A large deck with a barbecue lets you sit back, enjoy a meal and watch the waves. You can turn in on the lower level in one of the two queen bedrooms. Get your feet sandy at the beach, dine in or out at one of Manzanita’s restaurants, explore the towns and geographic features of the North Oregon Coast and spend your vacation days surrounded by beauty. You’ll be glad you did!

We had a great Thanksgiving at this property - our family of four (plus dog) really enjoyed the house, which is in a great location across the street from the beautiful Manzanita beach. We were lucky too to have incredible weather.

We haven't stayed in this house for quite a number of years (due to our growing family) and love the improvements made by the owners! It was an ideal location, cozy, and perfect for our 5-day get-away!

Love the paintings and artwork throughout this home. Amazing location to the beach, quiet street and not right off of the 101. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely week long stay at The Viking and found it very cozy, clean and comfortable. The location was great and we had delicious cocktails and dinner at McGregor's in town. Somehow I managed to lock us out of the house but I called Meredith Lodging and they had us back inside within minutes!

Location was great: easy access to beach and short walk to town. Close to golf course. The reason for the 4 stars, rather than 5, was that the kitchen was short on a few things. There were only 6 glasses and 1 wine glass; the only measuring spoon was a 1/3 teaspoon, and there were only 2 very small cutting boards. We like to cook so the kitchen made that somewhat difficult. Also, there was no instructions on recycling or trash pick-up which would have been helpful. Other than that, we were very pleased with the condo.

My two college aged daughters and I stayed in this property in Manzanita. We thought it was lovely - it had everything we needed during our stay. It has a view of the ocean from the deck and I love to hear the ocean while going to sleep. It’s just a short walk to the beach or town. We would stay here again!

Loved staying here! Great location & very comfortable house. If you are staying with small dogs, there are 3 outdoor areas to be secured: top of exterior stairs and 1 opening on each side leading to the back. We only brought 1 dog gate which wasnt enough. As it was cooler weather, that was ok. Beds are newer, although a king bed in 1 room would be nice! Blankets are so comfy!Kitchen well stocked but no blender. Will definitely stay again!

A perfect July Fourth getaway

Spent the holiday week here, the house was perfect for our use. Nice large living area, full kitchen, pro tip-close the blinds in the afternoon, the house is well insulated and will warm up through the window wall. Easy access to the beach, terrific downtown 5 blocks away. Manzanita is old school Oregon coast!

So close to town and the beach. Perfect for 3-4 people. Partial view of ocean and could sit on porch watching the waves (between houses). Quiet area. Road in front of house gets busy during day so not a play area for kids. Had everything we needed. We will be back to the Viking.

The place was wonderful from our entrance till our exit. We will definitely stay here again. The beach was visible from the house even if you had to peer a little through the trees. Everything worked in the house. Easy walk to the beach.

When we checked in to the The Viking, we walked up the stairs and turned the corner to see the shimmering Pacific through the wall of west-facing windows as the late summer sun was setting in a gorgeous day and we were SO excited to call this cute cabin HOME for a few nights. This 2bedroom/one bath is cozy-cabin-meets-bohemian-chic-meets-cheerful vibes and the layout is great. It feels roomy and like everything is in its place. We had plenty of room to unpack and store our belongings and appreciated the new furniture in the great room where we spent a lot of our time. The location is a perfect distance to town (5-7 minute walk) and we were delighted it was pet-friendly so we could have a beach getaway with our pup. This place is a great value, had everything we needed for our weekend away and was well stocked with the essentials for cooking, too. The wrap around deck is the perfect place to toast the evening sunset and beach access is just a couple houses down the street. We thought it was an incredible value for an ocean view home and appreciate how sparkling clean it was upon our arrival. We had a brief issue with the Wi-Fi and the Meredith Lodging team texted us easy to follow instructions (and offered to come right over) and it was fixed in a few minutes. Lovely home, great service and one of Oregons best beach towns. Be sure to check out Ocean and Bread, Manzanita Winery and the corner candy store for the kiddos.

Very nice
This house provided exactly what we needed and wanted. It was very clean, close to town, very close to the beach, and it gave us a place to relax and fix our own food. The quality of the furnishings was perfect and the beds were very comfortable.
