Pans Abode
You’ll walk into this pretty log home and ooo and aah at the gorgeous wood interior, beautiful details and rustic style. Then you’ll gasp at the fantastic views down to the ocean surf through the trees. Pan’s Abode is a special place to make memories and celebrate special occasions, though it may also become your first choice for your annual beach retreat because of its natural beauty and thoughtful amenities. The open beam ceiling of the great room lends a golden light to the interior and a stone chimney and wood-burning fireplace echo the rustic appeal. Relax in front of the large flat-screen TV/DVD or walk out on the suspended deck for a stunning view south to Manzanita. The fully equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar to supplement the dining table for casual or romantic dining. The hardwood floors continue in to the beautiful king bedroom, with its stupendous views of the ocean. A washer/dryer is tucked into the cozy queen bedroom. You’ll find a useful collection of games, books and puzzles filling the shelves in the bonus room, with its futon sofa bed and writing desk. Your Manzanita location puts you close to the beach and the convenience of a stylish small town; you’re also perfectly situated for a drive to Cannon Beach or a hike up Neahkahnie Mountain. Cozy stay with beautiful view!

Spent our first weekend away as a family of three on a stormy Memorial Day Weekend, and could not have asked for a lovelier place. It's quaint and charming and has a lovely view, and it was a perfect place to hunker down while it stormed, and then appreciate the sun breaks from the deck. It was a short walk down to the beach, and a quick drive into town. If you're looking for updated and modern this is NOT the house for you. But if you love quirks and period charm, then look no further!

Wonderfully close to the waves

It was amazing to be so close to the ocean and to be able to watch and hear the waves from the balconies, master bedroom and living room. Oregon can be very cold and wet! so it was really great to enjoy the waves from a cozy indoor space!

We had a wonderful time at Pans Abode. The home had everything we needed for our stay and was clean and organized. The check-in process was very smooth. We received an email and a text message from the property manager prior to check-in.
The view of the ocean was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed watching the sunset from the living room or balcony each evening. It was a very short, less than two-minute drive to the beach. In September, we had no issues finding parking on the beach. If you’re ambitious you can probably walk.
There is a grocery store nearby where we could pick up food and any essentials. Oswald State Park is also nearby and we had a fantastic time hiking the trails. We also visited Rockaway Beach and rode the scenic railroad during our time in Manzanita.
I would definitely recommend Pans Abode to anybody visiting the Oregon Coast. If we’re ever back on the west coast I would love to stay in this cabin again.

Great stay at Pan's Abode

Lovely well maintained house on the slope of Mt. Neahkahnie at the north end of town. Spacious and comfortable with nice views. About a half mile walk/drive to the beach.
The note about two car maximum is not just a rule; the house is off a steep shared gravel driveway with just room for two to pull in and turn around.

Love Pans Abode!
We love this property. The view is beautiful, nestled in the trees but with the ocean out front. The home feels like home 🙂 All the amenities that we'd would want, and the master bedroom bed is super comfy with a view and sound from the windows that are heavenly in the morning and evening times. We enjoyed the deck as well! Hope to come back to this lovely home in Manzanita someday soon!

Lovely seclusion

We were there as the weather kept changing wet to sunny every other day in late autumn. It's a long walk into "downtown" but a quick & easy drive. We liked being higher up on a forested hillside, giving us great views. A nice cozy spot, in the trees so darker inside (though there are nice picture windows) especially for non-summer months; although the deck would be best for warmer days than we had, we still spent some time on it just to get the birdsong & views

The house is lovely and like a much-loved home. Not fancy, no dishwasher or extra ‘amenities,’ just simple, beautiful, peaceful and an incredible view. For us it was perfect and we’ll definitely try to get back again soon.

A cozy home in a private location. Very quiet. And VERY well equipped, especially the kitchen.

A charming retreat by the sea

This is a cute house up on a hill overlooking the ocean. Close drive to beach and to Manzanita, which has plenty of shops and restaurants and a well-stocked little grocery store. Isolated yet also plenty to do when you want it--the best of both worlds.

Ideal Coastal Getaway

We loved our stay at Pan's Abode. It was a clean, cozy wooden cottage with a functional fireplace on an elevated perch overlooking the ocean, requiring a ten-minute walk to the public-access beach. The main bedroom was perfect: spacious, airy with a large comfortable bed and ocean view and natural white noise for a sound sleep. The second bedroom was considerably smaller, with a softer mattress and no ocean view or sound. There was also an attached office room with a small second toilet off the kitchen, a futon, shelves filled with puzzles and games and an office desk, which we didn't use, and kept this door closed to keep the heat in the living room. There's no dish washer, but we had everything we needed. We stayed for nearly a week and look forward to returning!

Ocean and Tree Tops
This lovely log home, situated on rising land, offers guests a sense of privacy and, most delightfully, expansive, elevated views of the Pacific from large picture windows in the living room and master bedroom. A great place for watching winter storms and sunsets. Town is a 1.4 mile walk away along quiet roads and the beach. Comfortable, old-fashioned dcor and many home conveniences. Feels like a beloved second home protected by happy spirits of the land.

And Pan's Abode is the epitome of an old school beach house.

Wonderful place for our family of 4
This is a charming cabin with a 1950s vibe. There was plenty of room for us and our two teenagers each had their own room. Views were beautiful and romantic.

as giid as we remembered

We had stayed here about 20 plus years ago as guests of the owners. This time, the place, view, and weather were as good as we had remembered, and even better because it is still as beautiful as before, plus with such good memories of our friends from long ago. Seclusion not too far from the Madding Crowd!

I operate an AirBnB and know a little something about how hard it is to be special in a crowded set of rentals. Pans Abode is exceptional, and I took away a good idea or two for our place in Woodland. Clean, loved, secluded (meaning quiet and peaceful), a grand view of the water, a lovely walk to town, neighbors who were very friendly and nary a dog that frightened me! I return even though we have a friend nearby with a lovely condo for us to use. His price is better, but this place is much nicer! Well done Pans Abode! BTW, it should be Pan's Abode, just saying!! LOL!

Wonderful hidden gem of a cabin near Manzanita
Wanting a relaxing getaway from Seattle on the coast, I happily stumbled upon this cozy cabin near Manzanita with wonderful views on the Pacific Ocean and nearby access to all of the local events and activities. Great price for such a comfortable temporary home.
