A pleasant house near the beach

My daughter, a couple of her friends, and I had a lovely time. It's comfortable, no frills but covers all the basics, has a nice layout with the bedrooms upstairs. Everything worked well. There's no view of the beach, but you can hear the waves and it's just a block away. I appreciated the location--a beautiful 15 - 20 minute walk along the beach to reach downtown Manzanita. The girls loved the giant bed and screen for late-night movie watching. We had a great time. Thank you!

Great stay. Loved the new appliances. Everything was spotless when we arrived. One note- the garbage can was completely full with weeks of garbage. I managed to put my garbage in can. I left a note for housekeeping. As it was only Sunday did not put can at curb. Suggest someone check on garbage and put at curb when needed. Thanks. Great service overall.

Manzanita is a beautiful, peaceful, quaint beach town. It was a very short walk from the cottage to the beach with easy access. The cottage is older with a vintage vibe. If you’re looking for new, fresh amenities, this is not the place you. If you want a quaint, relaxing atmosphere, then you will enjoy the stay.

Really lovely place. Clean and organized. Plenty of towels, good linens, and cooking ware. Loved the fireplace and grill and kitchen. Nice help via text. We are going Meredith direct for our next coast stay.

This house is located within easy walking distance to the beach and the ocean is visible from the upstairs rooms. This house had a well stocked kitchen and we cooked all our meals there. Loved it and will rent again.

Perfect home for the four of us. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all but one of our meals there. We would definately stay there again. Close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood.

This house has the perfect location! We were literally a 2 minute walk from the beach. Someone reached out to us to check how we were doing and responded quickly to any questions we had. The check in process was very easy. Everything was clean and well kept. The house is definitely older so it does creak in the night but that is kind of the norm in this area and even with a noisy toddler we didn’t have any problems with it waking anyone up. We would definitely stay again.

Great place right by the beach

We had a great Thanksgiving stay here, and appreciated the fully stocked kitchen - plus they left us a turkey roasting kit! We didn’t have issues with draftiness and found the downstairs comfortable. The king bed dips in the middle but is otherwise comfortable, and the bathroom totally functional if not super modern. A great stay a block from the beach and with a nice outdoor space. Would stay again!

I stayed for a week in January. The home was perfect for me. A 2-minute walk to the beach. If you just follow the road the house is on it leads to a private beach access path which was awesome. Far enough South from town that it felt like the beach was truly all yours. Yet, the home was a 2-minute drive into the town of Manzanita. It was stormy and rainy but would definitely stay again in Summer so I could enjoy the deck and play some golf.

Cozy Beach Hideaway

This two bedrooom house was clean and had all the amenities one would need to stay in the house. The bathroom had starter soap, shampoo, hair conditioner and a hair dryer. The kitchen was well equipped with all the cookware needed to make a meal. It was bright and open. The main bedroom had a very comfortable bed and a balcony with screened door, so we could have fresh air and keep the room cool at night. We appreciated the doors and windows that had screens, so we could enjoy the sea air. We did not use the barbecue grill this time, but hope to on our next visit. There were chairs and a table on both decks. We used the ones in the front the most because they were the most comfortable with a throw pillow. The place was close enough to town to walk (about a mile) to restaurants or to visit the shops. There is a grocery store in town that makes great sandwiches for a picnic lunch, plus they have salads and other items you might need. (There is a bigger grocery store by 101, too.) There is a walking path along the road, which is also used for a bike path. The campground is across the street and a drive towards the water. One addition I think that would have enhanced our stay would have been beach chairs, an umbrella and maybe a small cooler for a more comfortable time to spend on the beach reading. I gave it one less star, for this reason. We still very much enjoyed our stay and will be returning next year. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

We went to Manzanita for a family wedding. Instead of renting a motel we decided to try a VRBO. We were not disappointed. Great accommodations and location. The process was easy and our experience was fantastic. Thanks for making our visit so wonderful!

Great Stay
We really enjoyed the house and the location. The house is simple, but nice.You can see the ocean from the top floor.The master bedroom bed isn't bad, but I would've liked a not too soft pillow top. The kitchen is well equipped.There is firewood. There isn't a hairdryer, but there is a curler! You can easily bike into town. There is a nice trail at the nearby state park. It was just three of us. It really was exactly what we needed.

Enjoyable weekend!!

This property worked out very well for my stay. The family was camping and crabbing in their travel trailer in the nearby state park, and this location was close by, and with the rainy weekend, gave us all a place to warm up and enjoy our meals out of the weather!

Wonderful!
My husband and I and our 2 daughters (ages 7 and 11) had a great time at this vacation home! We had everything we needed and the walk to the beach was super easy. We loved that it wasn't crowded and it felt like home. We traveled south to Tillamook and North to Cannon Beach. We spent our mornings and afternoon/evenings at the beach but went on easy trips during the middle of the day. We played board games (provided) in the evenings and had a very relaxed stay.

Excellent time in a very cute rental a block from the beach. The decorating in this small house was incredible. Appliances are little old and bathroom is dated as is the kitchen, but again, it's beach house.
